Has anyone suggestd the boric acid suppositories? I have had glabrata - a yeast

that must

be cultured for a couple of weeks to be sure - and used the boric acid

suppositories. The

best thing if you have no insurance or a co-pay is to get the boric acid powder

and buy the

capsules (size 2? size zero? I forget the size - and that is important,- maybe

the

pharmacist will know) and fill them yourself - it isn't hard and it is cheap.

Big drawback is that you will " leak " a bit a few hours after putting in

suppository. I could

wear light day pantiliners, unscented. It was a nuisance for 2 weeks. Now I

take Total

Yeast Redux pill once a day to try to keep from having a recurrance - you can

get that on-

line (they say prescription only, but that is not true at all and the

ingredients are common

supplements, like caprilic acid, citrus seed extract, acidoplilus, etc) - google

until you find

it by mail.

I will be tested again in a month or so when I see my specialist again, but I do

not feel like

I have yeast.

there for him?

That said...I haven't kept up on a lot of posts lately so if he is making

matters worse...run

don't walk away! Secondly...(again, I haven't kept up on posts so sorry if you

answered

this already) are you SURE it is yeast? Has it been cultured? Read the yeast

connection and

The V Book in order to get some ideas about yeast. You really HAVE run the

gamut of

anti-yeast treatments...getting blood tests for various things that might make

yeast worse

is a good idea. Also, do you have a good doc who is helpful/knowledgeable about

yeast?

It sounds like you had relief on butconazole, even though it came back after a

month.

Some women with chronic yeast have to use diflucan or buconazole or WHATEVER

works

for them daily or we

have my yeast

under control (which went along with Lyme-I was a mess!)
