Guest guest
I stared chemo last month. I get chemo every 3 weeks. My first treatment went quite well. I had a little queeziness but over all I was ok. My problem is my second chemo did not go so well. I hurt all over especially my left breast and upper arm (my affected area)I couldn't sit still and felt just awful for the first 24 hours. I spoke to my doctor who told me " just lie down it'll go away in a few days. It's just the chemo. " I'm getting adriamycin and cytoxin. I did all my reading on these drugs and thought I was prepared. Before treatment I get Emend and Kyrtril. At home I take Zofran. I don't know if this is normal. When I talk to my doctor she generally tells me " it's just the chemo. You'll be fine. just rest. " I feel so overwhelmed. My doctor is very nice but I don't know if I should ask her for other meds to help with the side effects or if it's just me that felt so aweful and that I'm just being a cry baby.
