Guest guest
There was a post here recently, mentioning Lactoferrin as a possible means to aiding in absorption of iron. Google it and read some of the articles. Sounds very promising. I'm seriously considering trying it, as I have low ferritin as well 27 and have not been able to get it up supplementing with 200 mg elemental iron various brands over 2 years. i know how you feel regarding no light at the end of the tunnel. i'm feeling that way as well. can barely function at this point. challenging situation! take care, nervx My ferritin is 40 and my serum iron is low as well. I have tried different kinds of iron supplements but they all give me constipation and uncomfortable felling in the stomch. Getting an iron IV in my country in pretty much impossible. I am afraid about starting to use all kind of "anti-constipation" stuff cause I am afraid

Guest guest
for me it is not a challenging situation but a horrible situation... One doc told me he won't give me an iron IV cause it can damage the liver. What do you think? And to burden my digestion system with iron won't? AAhhhhh! (very emotional today as you can see) > > There was a post here recently, mentioning Lactoferrin as a possible means to aiding in absorption of iron. Google it and read some of the articles. Guest guest
Are you serious? no way I will get an IV if it hurts the liver. I will use in that case regular iron with " anti-constipation " stuff. Surely being hypu causes damage, so I don't wan't to cause any more damage... > > My ferritin is 40 and my serum iron is low as well. I don't want to cause any more health problems and afraid that by starting to mess with the digestion system, I will creat all kind of new problems there.
