Nick, Val and everyone,

I have reduced my over the last few days T3 from 62.5 mcg to 25mcg in the hope

that I will not wake up every night at 2-4am with low cortisol symptoms.

I have been waking and not being able to get back to sleep for hours. I have got

so tired I have become desperate.

I am wondering if the T3 has suddenly become more effective because I have been

taking a lot of iron for the last month or so and I may finally have raised my

ferritin enough for the T3 to kick in?

I wake hot from adrenaline with my heart pounding. Taking an extra 5mg HC barely

gives relief and lie there restless, with an adrenaline surge every 40mins or

so. I am already on 35mg HC daily which includes a 5mg bedtime dose.

I am trying to figure out why this is has got so bad suddenly. I was on 30mg HC,

slowly raising T3, for over a year and never had this problem to same extent

that I have now.

I have had it in a milder version when I have raised T3 too much. Then when I

drop it back I could sleep again. I haven't been able to get to the stage of

being able to get back to sleep yet which is why I continued dropping it.

I am going to have a bunch of blood tests in a few days including ferritin,

aldosterone and renin (waiting for my cycle to start).

Am I doing the right thing by dropping my T3? I feel like its the only option I

have at the moment.

Thanks for helping
