Guest guest
Free T3: 3.5 PG/ML (range is 2.3 - 4.2) TSH: 0.015 uIU/mL (range is 0.35 - 5.50) Free T4: 0.74 NG/DL (range is 0.89 - 1.76) Ferritin: 25 ng/mL (range is 10 - 191) Reverse T3: 19 ng/dL (rangeis 11 32) Cortisol Saliva: 8 am 5.0 ng/ml 12 noon 2.5 ng/ml 6 pm 2.8 ng/ml 11 pm 1.5 ng/ml TOTAL Cortisol for Day: 11.8 ng/ml I have read the website and book STTM about adrenals and RT3 - thank you very much for your dedication to help others. I am having trouble determining my ratio of FT3 to RT3 because the FT3 is in " PG/ML " and the RT3 is in " ng/dL " . Does this mean picograms per milliliter and nanograms per deciliter, respectively? (Wondering about the capitalization on the PG/ML.) Because if I have done my conversions correctly, adjusting for both the picograms to nanograms (or reverse) and the milliliters to deciliters (or reverse) these numbers look way off: I am coming up with: FT3 0.0035 ng/mL RT3 1900 ng/mL OR FT3 0.035 pg/dL RT3 19000 pg/dL Does this even make sense - this is roughly 500,000 times as much RT3 as FT3. Is that even possible? Maybe the PG/ML means picograms per MEGA liter and I need to recalculate, but don't think labs even give FT3 in picograms per megaliters. My doctor currently has me on Erfa Thyroid 150 mg, Cortef, 15 mg, DHEA 5 mg. From your website and book and my recent labs, I know that my ferritin is way too low and that my cortisol is low. My doctor does not want me taking more than 15 mg of Cortef/HC per day. I am still having hypothyroid symptoms - unbelievable fatigue, muscle/tendon pain in my hands, feet, ankles, knees, elbows, brain fog. I get sick too often - colds, viruses, sinus stuff, bronchitis, etc. Fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis were ruled out by a rheumatologist. I first began thyroid treatment in the summer of 2008 (Armour) and it was wonderful. The muscle/tendon pain I had had for 5 plus years went away after a few weeks, and my energy increased and brain fog decreased. It was amazing. But after about a year, the Armour seemed to stop working. (I have read about the problems with Armour.) Doc switched me to synthetic T4 and SR T3 Not much better. Then I read more and began learning about adrenal fatigue and ferritin. Then doctor started me on Cortef (15 mg) and Erfa thyroid. Things got a little better, but now worse again. Then I read more about RT3. Just got tested for RT3. Thank you for your help and time.
