While I have never taken SR T3, I have read many times on these boards that SR

T3 is weaker, or less effective, than T3, and that since it is SR, it responds

more slowly to adjustments.

When I read that you became jittery when changing to Reg T3, I wondered if you

actually gave yourself an " increase " of T3, even though the numbers look the

same.

IMO, I would pick either SR or Reg, and try to get your dosing settled. Perhaps

you are bouncing around your levels by switching between the two. (I would pick

the Reg T3, because it's easier to adjust the dosages.) And I would drop the

amount to start in case the T3 is stronger than the SR T3.

Just my six cents.

problems and gradually increase my dose. On Saturday I took 10 mcg SR T3 and

went shopping, only to suddenly become extremely weak in the store. That eased

after I took 5 mcg regular T3 sublingually. I took another dose 3 hours later,

then SR T3 in the evening. No more weakness.

Sunday, and no SR. I took 5 mcg doses every 3 hours, totalling 30 mcg. By

midday I was exhausted, and after my fourth dose in late afternoon, I began

feeling jittery. So this morning I went back to SR, a 10 mcg dose at 5:30 a.m.

In less than 2 hours I started feeling weak and wobbly in the knees. This is

exactly what happened on Saturday, so I again did what I'd done on Saturday--I

took a sublingual dose of 5 mcg regular T3.

T3, by midday I'm feeling wiped out from exhaustion, and by mid-afternoon I'm

jittery. Whether taking SR or regular, I've never exceeded 30 mcg/day. Since

I've just had 3 iron IV's, my ferritin levels should be allowing me to tolerate

T3. During the days of the iron IV's, my average temps were above normal

(98.7-98.9). The first day after the IV's were over, the daily average

plummeted to 98.3 and has been consistently low since then. But my average

temps for the past 6 days are stable within .2-.3 degrees, so adrenals seem

supported at 20 mg/day HC.

should be taking, what these symptoms indicate, or why nothing seems to be

stabilizing. Can I get some help understanding what's happening and how best to

proceed? Thanks so much.
