The article mentions that honey made in your area can help, as it contains traces of the pollens most likely to upset someone with hayfever. They should try eating a dessertspoonful of locally produced honey per day. Another pointer was to place plants like ivies and spider plants in the bedroom of the hayfever sufferer, together with a small humidifier. This reduces ozone levels which can sensitise the mucous membranes and make them react more violently to allergens.
