Guest guest
Hi Val, I wrote a few days ago after having loose stools once a day for 4 days and wanted to know if I should Decrease my T3. Well, the last few days I haven't had loose stools but instead a bit of constipation and my afternoon temps are a steady 98.1. Feeling rather tired too and intolerant to heat. I'm on 100 mcg of T3. Do you think I should raise my T3 another 12.5mcg? I just had labs done this past Tuesday and i'm hoping those results will be in by Monday/Tuesday of next week. Should I wait till I get the results to raise? I'm a little worried that I'll be on too much T3 when my RT3 clears (I'm almost to week 12)too and have to deal with some really unpleasant symptoms as the T3 pours into my cells. Thank you for your advice. in CA (going on 35 weeks pregnant)
Guest guest
NO! That is outdated informaiton from a time when thye thouhgt T3 did not cross th eblood brain barrier or the placental barrier. Thye have since learned that T3 DOES cross these thingsjust fine and as long as th mother is not hypothyroid (LOW T3) the baby wil also be fine. T4 is a storage hormone, and that is ALL it does. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/

Guest guest
What would be the impact on the fetus when the mother has high RT3 and is only on Armour thyroid? That was my situation while I was pregnant. I was on 4 or 5 grains and had the high RT3, even went to see Dr. Holtorf but he didn't even suggest a change to T3. Surprisingly, I didn't have any problems with my pregnancy but I often wonder what the impact was to my child. > > NO!
