Guest guest
Hi, I'm 2 weeks in my T3 treatment and I'm finding that I'm needing a lot of T3. I was on synthroid beforehand, and had an FT3/RT3 ratio of 6. I'm finding that my RT3 is making me quite hypo, and I can increase my T3 a lot and take it, and feel a bit better. Last Sunday I was feeling a bit odd ~3pm, so I doubled my T3 dose from 6.25 to 12.5 and I really noticed the difference, and so did my friend. I became more animated and lively. I'm taking 45 mcg HC. Yesterday I took 6:30 - 12.5 9:30 - 12.5 12:30 - 12.5 3:30 - 6.25 10:30 - 6.25 and I was feeling a bit low/cold in the evening. Temps are pretty stable but low, but I find that my RT3 can lower them a bit. I think my RT3 is caused by high cortisol, and it's got worse over the last few months so that I have to split up my meals to avoid feeling rough. Got up today and felt a bit low, so I decided to double my 1st dose to 25, took BP and temps before hand and the 30 mins later Temp ~ 97.2, no change BP 72 ~ no change So I'm thinking that I may need more T3 than most people to get stable. Nick, I read somewhere that you took up to 200mcg of T3. Any advice on how to ramp up my T3 so that I can feel stable, or should I just slowly try higher doses, checking my temps, BP before and after to see the effect, beneficial or not.
