Guest guest
Hi, I'm new to the list and I'm hoping that someone can help direct me to a physician who is familiar with GFCF and autism. I live about half way between Chicago and Indianapolis and I haven't had any luck at Riley in Indy. One of my children is probably HFA or Asperger's yet he's never been diagnosed, he technically has sensory integrative dysfunction (but there isn't an actual diagnostic code for that). He's six years old and has made a lot of progress with sensory/brushing therapy. Two weeks ago after eliminating casein only from his diet he has started regressing (twirling around the room, mood swings, not eating well, etc). I realize that this may by a temporary thing but I'd like to find a doctor to help guide us through this and also to give us advice on other possible interventions. Our pediatrician who originally wanted to diagnose my son with PDD-NOS really isn't that familiar with autism or the therapies/treatments to go along with it. We definitely need someone to help direct us! Thanks in advance for any information, support and advice!
