Guest guest
I know there are many grads who have already had some form of a tummy tuck and I am wondering how long you were told to wear your binder or a panty girdle or some form of abdominal restriction? my second question is, did you find that your skin was flaking, itching, dry and basically breaking down after the TT, either from the surgery itself or from the lack of air from wearing the binder constantly? I wore a binder that I woke up in recovery room for a week (24 hours a day - minus shower) post-op...then graduated to full girdle (keep in mind I had my breasts done at the same time) and wore that 24 hours a day w/ the exception of showers for another 2 weeks. From week 3 to 6 I wore just a panty girdle majority of the day/night. I wore it as long as I felt I 'needed' it. I recommend " Body Reformer " by Smoothie - I bought 3 full girdles and 3 panty girdles. If you choose not to purchase that many buy an extra so that you can have your S.O. wash it. My garments required washing daily...sweat and minor leaking... > my second question is, did you find that your skin was > flaking, itching, dry and basically breaking down after the > TT, either from the surgery itself or from the lack of air > from wearing the binder constantly? > Sue > No, can't say I experience that...sorry O Prox Lap RNY 5-3-99 Dr Wittgrove Abdominoplasty, Mastopexy w/gel implants, Brachioplasty 7-6-00 Dr Grossman 36, 5'9 337/
