Stress incontinence is when you leak when you laugh or cough. That's not what you're describing. You should be checked to see if your bladder is " overfilling " . If it isn't, and you have no trouble peeing normally (no difficulty starting, stopping, etc.), then it is most likely urge incontinence. It can be treated very successfully with biofeedback. Surgery usually lasts 6 months to a year. Pills usually don't help much at all. So, do some research on urge incontinence and talk to your doc about it. Good luck.
