Guest guest
Hi Peeps, Another farting fool has joined our ranks! YEAH!!! I've been quiet lately because of the time I've been spending with my new-found wonderful man! But all who know me knows that I can't let a farting problem " fly " by me without responding. It's like the old " shave-and-a-haircut " bit in Who Framed Rabbit.... I just have to respond -- I can't help myself. Kathy, I have found out from discussion here that this problem comes along with our surgery and how our bodies react to food now. Try cutting back on carbs... carbs create wicked farts. Also, before I was going on my big trip and worried about those lovely odors seeping out through my pores and all other orafices, I got hold of the antibiotic, Flagyl.... 2 days of that stuff helped me, then I stopped taking it because some people here said I didn't want to go to Sturgis while taking Flagyl and plan on drinking alcohol (although others sent info saying that it wasn't true) but I didn't want to chance it, I tell you that because I know about how people drink on cruises. So, I took the Flagyl then cut back on my carbs... and it's MUCH better. Now and then I'll have an overload on popcorn and then pay the price (everyone pays the price when I have popcorn!) I went the Beano route and that didn't help me at all. Have a great cruise, and remember, make sure he's not down wind when you rip! Judy in the Windy City << Another conern im having is the last 6 to 8 weeks i have been passing alot of gas and i do mean alot of " smelly farts " lol it is very very embarrassing! I called the gal at the doctors office and she said she went this a small period of this. I am taking a gas relief but it doesnt seem to help does anyone have any advice on this and did any of you go thru a gas passing period? I am leaving for a cruise in 2 weeks I don't want to be a farting fool!!! Kathy from Ohio >>
Guest guest
Can you tell me why carbs cause so much gas? This is new to me but a huge problem and I never knew this -- thanks!
