Guest guest
Hi Jeanne, Thanks of thinking of me! I'm still lurking, but have had to delete a lot lately. My health has been very weird since I had my gall bladder out several months ago. I think it is improving, though, without the docs really figuring out what was going on with me. I had a couple of episodes at work of my blood pressure and heart rate bottoming out and trips to the ER. Luckily I work in a hospital I guess LOL My poor co-worker was totally freaked though. She said I looked gray and then passed out, in the cafeteria no less. What ever was going on there seems to have resolved. I hadn't been eating and lost 20 lbs in about 2 weeks. I think that was a little to much at this point in my weight loss. At least that was what my PCP thought was the reason anyway. I've had a lot of burning in my chest too, He thinks I may have an ulcer so I'm getting scoped here soon. Hopefully they will fIgure out what the deal is here soon. Overall I'm feeling a lot better actually, so I think what ever was going on seems to be resolving on its own. I'm really hoping to bet back to spending more time on the list. I've missed you guys! in WA 250/129 -- ? Hey from WA - are you still out there? How are you doing? I know it's been a rough year for you. Could you send us an update when you get a chance? Miss you. Guest guest
Send snow. Keep the cold. You scoped yet? I bet the docs thought the water comment was odd. Here, it makes sense, but to a GI doc, they'd go HUH? LOL! M Re: ? Hi Michele, It so nice to know that you all were thinking of me! LOL About the water, it tastes fine. LOL That was what I told my PCP when he said it sounded like an ulcer. I told him " But water tastes fine! " He looked at me like I was a nut. Getting scoped is a good idea, I suppose, anyway. See what is going on in there. How are things on your side of the mountains? It's been as cold as a witch's you-know-what around here. I think winters in Yakima are going to be rough without all my insulation! I thought I should let everyone know that since some may be curious about my progress since giving up dairy. My frequency of episodes since giving up dairy continues to be at a rate that is satisfactory to me: about four-six episodes per year compared with 29 episodes the year before I gave up dairy. I'm sure I will never completely conquer afib because it's in my genes, but I am happy if I can just keep it at bay until that infallible cure comes along. My current episode was triggered, I think, by the huge Amoxycillin dose I had to take before a routine dental appointment yesterday. My dentist requires that I take four capsules one hour before my appointment, but I am planning to discuss this with my E.P. at my next appointment because the Amoxycillin always causes stomach problems for me although it doesn't always trigger afib. However, the longest afib episode of my life, ten days, occurred when I was taking Amoxycillin after a root canal. Also, my INR shot up to 3.6 while taking ten days of Amoxycillin. Apparently that antibiotic and I don't mix too well. Anyway I am hoping to return soon to sinus. I also hope that you all have a happy and healthy new year in sinus! in afib in Seattle

I agree going into afib 5 or 6 times a year is heaven compared to 30. This gives your body and heart time to get back to normal and prepare for the next afib attack. Happy New Year to you and your family. I wish you a healthy and NSR for the new year. Also a Happy New Year to all in our very informative group and especially our moderator Ellen and her helpers. To find a dedicated group that is here day in and out is truly amazing. It also is a huge commitment on the part of the moderator. Without them we would still be searching for that special link, location, magic wisdom or chat area to help us answer our many questions. I think once this group is found we do find something and that is answers. Not just a web page written by someone who doesn't have afib but answers from real people going through what we all are. We can read, collect information, hear stories and feel wow IM not alone with this and yes you can live and function after the Afib word. Another thing I have learned from the group is we don't have to accept the answer a doctor gives us just because he is the doctor. There are many doctors and many views and if you know in your heart..he he that the answer he gives you does not make you comfortable you can move on and find someone who understands you better and the afib. a in Massachusetts Sotalol 120 x 2 Warfarin 4mg alternate with 5mg
