Guest guest
Myra, hello to you again as well. I will fight and I will win as they really upset me. I have never asked that the teachers themselves use the epipen but that it stay at the facility (Alena will only be there two and half hours twice a week) as it would be too hard for me to drag it to class and back when they could keep it with the things she keeps there. The college has an EMS team on site as well as an immediate dispatch to the local EMS. I will be in the next building with a cell phone. On all the papers that were signed the day I met with the teachers it only simply states to call 911 should she stop breathing, swell, turn blue or purple. I also was going to stop at the college EMS office and explain this and leave a fact sheet. The epipen being in the building is a last resort basically. The true problem here is that they agreed to take her, no problem, they let me pay fees, pay tuition for myself, buy books and plan my summer and now it is simply impossible to find anyone else in this tiny little town. I would not even be upset if they had said from the beginning (in April when I registered her and I was VERY forthcoming about her medical issues) or if they at any point during our meeting which lasted almost two hours, they had said, you know I am a bit uncomfortable or something but all they said was well this is not going to be a problem, and see you when school starts. I will see what the attorney has to say. I think I lived my whole life unable to really fight a battle and now I am finding a little commander in cheif as my alter ego(hee hee) Love, ~Alena's Mom Schools and Epi > Hi again , > Good for you......
