I would call the doctor and get them in a HEAP of trouble! Or, if you live

close to the Chicago area, I could go open up a can of whoop-a** on them.

and were giggling about me and my trip to Spain to do this!!!!! I felt like

throwing my shoe at them, and I am not usually a shoe throwing girl!! My

PCP has told me how proud of me he is, and it pisses me off to think of them

making fun of me, but I have too much pride to throw my shoe at them... FOR

NOW.

The Nurse has her opinion!

when I called my PCP to get my medical

records faxed to Dr. the nurse asked me what

I wanted the records for, so I told her and she

proceeded to tell me that I did not want to do that.,

" You do not want to have that surgery " ,she said.

" Let me tell you about some new herbal diet pills, "

she said.

I politely told her that she had no idea about what

I wanted and that I did not want her herbal

diet pills -all I want was for her to fax my

records to the surgeon.

so finally she did!

I bet they aren't real nurses, hopefully they are like what mostDr's

hire now in family practice -medical assistants!

If they are RN's report them to the state board of nursing.

I am a former nursing instructor and current nurse, trust me , none

of my students would have laughed at a patient and lived!

Ya know things like this really burn my chaps!! EXCUSE ME.. DID I ASK FOR

YOUR OPINION????SHEESH!! But I think you handled it very well!!!

I had some what of an aggravating experience this week with the front desk.

The girl who handles the referrals decided that because my medical group

doesn't like to go out of network they just almost always deny referrals.

She decides to NOT send in my referral because in her " opinion " it will get

denyied anyway..so why send it.. HEllO!!!Now because of her stupidity I am

now 10 days behind. I went for my lab reports and expected to find out about

my referral. I was totally ticked. My doctor said that she was very sorry

and that she personally sent it in. She said she also told the girl that you

need a deniel to get an appeal...basically a paper trail!! The girl no

longer works there. NOt because of my situation but because of other

stuff..hmmmmm I can't imagine why..

My PCP has been pushing my husband to try those, as well. (He wisely

dismissed the idea.) I'm beginning to wonder if there is something new on

the market that the doctors get some sort of a kickback for prescribing. We

even got an ad for them in with a bill (for something else) from the doctor's

office!
