Guest guest
(and others) is this different from auditory processing? Thanks, Carol in Florida > Apraxia is motor delays of language. Guest guest
Carol- I'm not sure. I suppose it would depend on whether the auditory processing problem was due to motor delay. For example, my daughter has motor planning problems pretty much across the board. It may take her a while to think of the correct word she wants to say, or if she wants to physically climb up on something, she has to go through a process to prepare for it. We sometimes get her ready by counting one...two...three.... or ready....set.....go, then she is capable of doing it. I suppose that if one has trouble processing the auditory information, it could be a type of apraxia. FYI alot of stroke or head injured people have apraxia. Hope this helps some Kansas
