I had heard to limit your carbs after 3:00PM and eat mostly protein and veggies. But now I find that protein and fat in the morning helps me get through the morning without the desire to run out to the lunch truck that comes at 10:30AM. Carbs in the evening helps me sleep better too.

Carbs in the evening helps me sleep better too. I try to avoid carbs until evening. I find that it's easier for me to limit total calorie intake that way. Also, it's hard to avoid carbs in social situations, which are more likely to be evening times. It's best to stop eating them well before bedtime though, to maximize growth hormone release.
