I take bee pollen and/or local honey all year long. The pollen is an immune booster, may be the honey is too. I add Quercitn + vitamin C starting in January. I become aware it is time to start the Q + C as soon as my ears start to itch. January seems so early to start, but it is necessary for this body, if I don't want to suffer later. A homeophatic/medical doctor got me started on this program and it has really helped. Homeophatic remedies can sometimes be helpful too. Other helpful hints are to wash your hair daily and wash your face often during the day. Sometimes I retreat into the guset room to sleep for a few nights, becasue my husband can't sleep without the window open. I love fresh air too, but when the pollen is whipping around I retreat. Claritin is always a last desperate resort. I do not have asthma. I don't know if this treatment will help you enough. Check Dr. Mercola's seb site for an article about a special treatment involviing two shots in the lower shoulder blades that he says puts a halt to asthma. (www.mercla.com) It might be worth tracing down a doctor who would give you this treatment. I know he was all for it. All my best, Sheila

It reminds me of the picky pains I get in my eyes from pollen. I start rubbing my ears to stop the feeling of irritation. I wouldn't call it a crawly itch. The Q+C always gets rid of it. As I recall there are some precautions about using Quercitin, especially if you are of childbearing age. Since I am past those years I was not concerned. I should have mentioned this to Joy, because I am not aware of her age. I hope she will continue to read these comments. Why are you asking about the type of itching? Do you think there is a connection between pollen type allergies and asthma? Sheila

Feels like its draining. That and the not too sharp pain in the same ear from time to time seem to have gone away with coconut milk's help to my sinuses.
