another bizarre question - radioactive dye

I know - I have so many weird questions ... but .. here is another.

In 1991 after a bad car accident, they did a bone scan, then thought

there was a shadow on my kidneys. So, they wanted to do some other

type of scan to see if it was a " bad " thing.

They injected me with a radioactive dye - and then put me through some

sort of machine (I don't remember what!) to see what was there. It

turned out to be nothing but a shadow on the first test.

Anyway - I keep reading about radioactive iodine and stuff - is any

radioactive dye a radioactive iodine? I suddenly wondered if that was

the start of my problems if it was.

Yeah, I know - call me weird, but I don't know anything about

radioactive dyes and thought some of you might.
