I didn't have sunflower seeds so I substituted walnuts. It was a little messy putting all that food on my face, but I did really like the results. Creamy Scrub Cleanser Good for: Normal and dry skin Use: daily or as desired Follow with: moisturizer Prep Time: 5 to 10 mins. Mix with; mortar and pestle or small bowl and fork Store in: zip seal bag, low tub/jar, or tin. Yeilds: 1 treatment Special: may use as mask-- allow to dry 15 to 20 mins. Rinse. Very soothing 2 TbSP heavy cream (or 1 TBSP of cream and 1 TBSP peach puree) 1 TBSP ground oatmeal 1 tsp. sunflower meal 1/2 tsp. chamomille flowers Mix ingredients together to form a very creamy paste. Massage onto face and throat. Allow to remain on face for approx. 5 mins. Rinse. Used frequently, your skin should acquire a " peaches and cream " glow! Almond Meal Cleanser Gooed for: All skin types Use: daily or as desired Follow with: moisturizer Prep time: approx. 5 mins Mix with: Small bowl and spoon Store in: Same as above Yeilds: Approx. 12 treatments 1/2 cup almond meal Water, milk, or heavy cream Mix 2 teaspoons of almond meal with enough liquid to form a paste. Sensational Sunflower Friction 1 TBSP Sunflower seed meal 1 TBSP applesauce Good fro: normal and dry skin Use: three times per week Prep time: approx. 5 mins Mix with: small bowl and spoon Store In: Don not store. Mix only as needed Yields: 1 treatment Special: very moisturizing Combine ingredients to form a paste. Massage onto face and throat. Allow to remain for 10 mins. so that the oils of the sunflower seeds may be released and absorbed into your thirsty skin. Rinse with warm water. Pineapple/Sunflower Scrub 1 TBSP sunflower seed meal 1 TBSP fresh pineapple or lemon juice (diluted 50% with water) Good for: oily and normal-to-dry skin Use: two times per week Follow with: moisturizer Prep time: 5 to 10 mins Mix with: small bowl and spoon Store in: Do not store. Mix only as needed. Yields: 1 treatment Special: Excellent for a fading tan. Evens skin tone. Mix ingredients thoroughly and massage onto face and throat. Include the chest area if skin tone is uneven there. Allow to dry 10 mins. Rinse with cold water. This scrb tends to bleach the skin slightly. Brewer's Yeast and Oatmeal Scrub Good for: oily and normal-to-dry skin Use: two times per week Follow with: moisturizer Prep time: Approx. 5 mins. Mix with: small bowl and spoon Store in: Dry mix: zip-seal bag, low tub/jar, or tin Yields: Approx 8 treatments Special: Revs up the circulation- great for a pale complexion 1/4 cup brewer's yeast (not baking yeast) 1/4 cup ground Oatmeal water Mix dry ingredients completely. Using 1 TBSP scrub and approx. 1 TBSP of water, form paste. Allow to thicken for 1 min. Massage onto faceand throat and allow to dry for 15 mins. Rinse with cool water. Cornmeal and Honey Scrub Good for: All skin types, except sensitive Use: three times per week Follow with: MOisturizer Prep time: Approx 5 mins. Mix with: small bowl and spoon Store in: Do not store. Mix only as needed Yields: 1 treatment 11/2 tsp. cornmeal 1/2 tsp. water 1 tsp. Honey Combine ingredients thoroughly and allow to thickin for 1 min.
