Guest guest
My son is 16. He has been gfcf for 4 months. We are not sure if we are seeing any improvements yet. He started some medication at the same time so we don't know whether to contribute his improvements (less hyper, more interested in his surroundings) to the meds or the diet. We are committed to this for at least a year since we know it takes longer to see improvements with older children. At this point, we are not willing to change either the diet or the meds. Things are better than they have been in years.

He has had a miraculous turn around. He plays video games now, speaks in complete sentences, is fully potty trained at home and in public. Can color in the lines, write his name, read single words off of flash cards, peddle a tricycle, hmm...lets see... the language change was unbelievable! He is lacking in expressive language still but we are working on that and getting better everyday. He says, " Makes you sick, you belly hurt " when it is something he can't have and does not even ask for it. My 8yr NT child was eating a poptart in front of him the other day and he said, " Bubby, make you sick! " He excepts it very well.
