Guest guest
Hi all, I received this note directly from Shelby9396@.... She hoped that someone on the grad list might have some insight for her. Please copy your responses directly to Shelby as well as the graduates list or if you would prefer just write her directly. << , you have always given me much needed information and advise. Maybe you have read my post to the OSSG group this evening about my BAD day and previous kidney cancer. My kidney was removed and the surgeon pronounced me cured. I know all about that 5 year clear of cancer rule, but it doesn't apply to this type of cancer, at least that is what the surgeon told me. What I was wondering was, if you could give me any information on others that had had cancer before the WLS. And how they and their doctors approached the problem. Posting on OSSG helped me vent and I know there are members of the group that have been out of the surgery for a while. This is something that I would like to have posted on the grads group, but can't since I am pre-op. Maybe you know of a way for me to reach some realistic outlook on this. I know my emotions are running away with me, at the prospect of waiting 3 years to see if I am going to live or not. If that is the only thing I can do, I will have to find some other way to deal with this. Thanks so much, Shelby >> Anything you could do to help out would be greatly appreciated.
