But there is a way to make it even more obvious, and I recommend doing this anyway. Double-click on " My Computer " and select " Tools|Folder Options " from the menu. Go to the View tab and uncheck the " Hide extensions for known file types " options. Here's how it works: The person who writes the script will name it " Something.mp3.vbs. " Since Windows knows that the .vbs extension corresponds to VBScript files, it hides the extension and displays only " Something.mp3. " Similarly, if the file were actually named " Something.mp3, " I suspect that Windows would display only " Something. " When you uncheck that box above, it displays the name and extension of the files, so that you can see the .vbs at the end of the VBScript files. Although, I tend to avoid downloading any mp3 that has a small file size since I assume it's a partial file. >>>>But there is a way to make it even more obvious, and I recommend doing this anyway. Maybe I just didn't notice the .vbs at the end of the file with the virus, but I could've sworn it was .mp3 and had the proper icon. Not only that, I have the Morpheus filter set to filter out anything with " .vbs " but it still displays " .mp3.vbs " anyway Suze Fisher Web Design & Development http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze3shjg/ mailto:s.fisher22@...
