Guest guest
-- We got the testresults back on Sagas immunity system. She lacks immunity to AT LEAST 3 parts and probably a few more. Besides that she´s got no immunity what so ever against pnemockocker (do you know that word?) so she will get a vaccin against that. A bloodsample will be taken 3 weeks after the vaccination to se if it gave god results. She will also probably get gammaglobin(is it right name in english,....?) to fight her bad immunitysystem. is here someone else with this results? /jessica-a litle bit sad
Guest guest
, Charissa also had an immune system deficiency. There were several parts of her immune system checked (IgA, IgM, IgE, IgG, and the IgG subclasses tests of IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 and IgG4). Also tested were the T cell and B cell lymphocytes. She had a low level of IgG4, which was diagnosed at 1 year 8 months (that was in 1986). The doctors had been testing her immune system regularly for about 6 months and watched the levels continue to go down, which prompted them to start the therapy. Her IgG4 testing results prior to treatment were: " Total IgG of 330, IgG4 1 mg/dl " . She received monthly intravenous injections of gammaglobulin for 6 months and then injections every 6 weeks for awhile longer (another 6 months, I think). I don't have copies of all the medical reports & we moved during the 2nd 6 months of treatment & had to switch doctors, but I'm pretty sure that is how long the treatment lasted. She has been re-tested several times since treatment, but the results have always been in the normal ranges. The treatment wasn't too bad. She would have an i.v. put in & blood drawn to check the immunities present, then the gammaglobulin would be put in using the same i.v. It would take awhile, as the gammaglobulin is pretty thick. I am not familiar with your term " pnemockocker " - I'm guessing it is pneumonia (an infection of the lungs). Charissa had pneumonia when she was around a year old. I hope this information helps.
