avocado, skin health and irradiation--fruit question

I'm not actively trying to give up bananas per se...I'm just trying to

emphasize local food in my diet, and living in Maine, that obviously

excludes bananas. Unfortunately, it excludes just about every other

fruit/above ground veggie for much of the year! But, if I do find

confirmation that bananas, and all other imported *organic* produce is

irradiated, that will probably settle it for me.
