That the allergy meds are helping to shrink my goiter?... I noticed my goiter only hurt when I was having allergic reactions... is it possible that is what made it bigger? Since taking the new allergy meds my goiter hasn't pained once. Also for the first time, I can swallow my pill vitamins without choking on them... and feeling my nodules, they feel like they've shrank in size. My throat doesn't feel as tight either.

Do any of you know if it is possible that my allergic reactions were triggering my goiter action? I want to keep an eye on this.... also my ear infection has cleared up and the swollen lymph node at my jaw line has went down in size.... from the size of a small grape to a pea.

My chest pains have gone away also and I haven't taken the beta blocker for two days...

I think I'm either finally getting better and my adrenal glands and thyroid gland was going back and forth triggering each other... adrenal trigger goiter... goiter trigger adrenal... goiter trigger thyroid.. thyroid trigger heart palps, etc.

Thoughts anyone?? I'm really excited about this as this means I may not need surgery now. I want to talk to my ent about it when I go see him on the 11th of April.

Is this really possible or am I just smoking really really good drugs lol?

Yep, this daughter who is just now going on the Armour, after taking

synthetic T4 for so many yrs, had chronic hives and skin disorder as a

child, for sooooo many yrs. Her skin was sensitive from the get go, from

the time she was born. Of course, I may have had Hashi's while I was

carrying her, and possibly with the first one, as that one also has Hashi's,

but I don't remember any type of symptoms with me at all, while I was

carrying either one of them. They were my first two from that particular

marriage. I personally think that their dad may have had Graves, just not a

full blown case of it. He was very skinny and nervous and could never gain

a lb, no matter how hard he tried, and had all kinds of stomach problems.

Anyway, that one daughter would form wheals on her neck and the sides of her

face, right while she was standing there talking. It's still like that

sometimes, and she has the little hard bumps on the backs of her upper arms,

though not as much as in the past. She has all kinds of allergies.

Hypthalamus/Pituitary/Adrenal/Thyroid Axis. What you're describing IS and HAS been a part of the whole picture. NOTHING in the hormonal system is separate from another part, it's all interconnected. We still don't know all the reasons how Hashi's antibodies get triggered, just that MOST of us have some type of allergic reaction, whether it be respiratory, foods, pollens, industrial waste, etc...etc...I think almost all of us have some type of reaction, even if it isn't one of the standard ones, like runny nose and all that. Brain fog can be allergic in nature, but most of us come here not sure of what, and the thyroid and adrenals play a VERY integral part in all of this.
