Hi - I was born in '54, and also came from a large family. My mother is a

nurse, but we only saw the Dr. when we were sick. That was not very often and

if we were very sick he would come to the house. There was no push to go

every yr. and we had immunizations at a school age. Just polio as I recall ??

I remember the doctor coming to our house when my sister had pneumonia. She

was born in 52. Man was that a long time ago when doctors made house calls.
