Guest guest
To Gail: I say " AMEN " (in a nonscrup way) to your prayer/vow. Well said! I'm back from upstate NY where the West Nile Virus looms. I got a mosquito bite the first day. But with a dose of paradox courtesy of Kathy H., I thought, well good that it happened right away, there's nothing worse than waiting for the worst to happen. I mean, one can recover from the West Nile Virus, but the suspense, well that could kill me... Best, Tamar Chansky, Ph.D.
Guest guest
Hi Dr. Chansky: I'm so glad to hear that habituation is setting in. I can joke about the virus but not so readily about the pesticides I see being sprayed around so liberally on TV. Those poor mosquitoes, soon winter will be there and they will freeze to death, the West Nile Virus along with them.... Take care, aloha, Kathy (H) kathyh@... Guest guest
OK I have purchased 18oz lye, 24oz sunflower oil, 16oz coconut oil, 16oz olive oil and a bucket of lard. What is my next logical step. I have 1 thermometer, still need rubber gloves. I have surgical type gloves are they good enough? CP or HP? I have a hand blender that is also a type of food processor, is this what you guys call a stick blender? I where glasses, do I still need goggles? So many questions. Are there any Illinois soapers out there? I am close to the Alton area. I am shaky a little and have not even started. Thanks alot Tina M. Doerr Listen, you ain't alone in the fog. I'm right there with you. You've come to the right place, though, because these guys are experts and so very willing to help! They'll take you by the hand and lead you through it. One tip -- don't forget your asbestos removal suit to handle that stinking lye. (Just kidding). Good luck and hang in there! The > Thanks for all the interesting info re my antiperspirant request and you're probably right about just washing with soap and water. Also, I understand cutting out red meat and drinking lots of water helps to control bacteria. But, uh, I don't think I have the above problem (if you know what I mean). Lucky you! Guest guest
I have to laugh and feel for ya...Dakota, nonds twin of Austin, went up to the Director of Therapies at their school this summer and she was sitting in a child's chair. She has a rather large rear end. He said " Your butt's too FAT to sit in that chair " . Luckily, they love him to pieces, and still, everyone laughs about it. I was in total shock when they told me, but they are full of his stories, most are nice! Beth

Guest guest
Hi all, it's Jen in Canada here. I am still subscribed, however I won't be around much as I'm starting a new job in a few weeks. Healthwise I am apparently fine thyroidwise, but I've had a nasty bout with parasites and bacteria infections. I'm not sure how I was ever so lucky to be hit with aeramenas hydrophilia bacteria but that's what the doctor tells me! Not good for the stress department! I'm on a waiting list for a thyroid ultrasound as the doctors and myself would like to know what caused me to go hyper last summer. Most likely due to pregnancy, but they tell me I still have a small goiter so I may have it reoccur again! Anyway, I hope all is well. I still read everyone's posts and have noticed it to be a little quieter around here! Maybe that's a good sign that people are doing well!? Take care all, and have a Happy Easter! Jen in Canada soon to be working full time! (God help me!) Re: Digest Number 649 Hi,I think everyone has moved to "graves support". Give it a try it is at : gravessupport@...
