Well everyone- I have just been peeled off the ceiling because I am so happy.

Last nite I had the honor and privilege of finally, finally meeting someone

I have come to know and love deeply. Many of you know her; we had our

surgeries two days apart, same surgeon, same floor of hospital but never met;

she was too sick for visits and went back to her home without us ever

meeting.

We became computer pals, telephone buddies and actually " sisters " in heart

and soul. I speak of Amber Reid, ville, Florida. For many who have

found peace and support in the words of Amber all year long, I can only tell

you whatever you thought about her, however wonderful you thought she might

be....she is more.

She lights up a room with those big blue eyes(her picture does her no

justice) and her " coy and impish " grins are so huggable. We were instantly "

in love. " We both feared meeting; that maybe we would not like each other or

something but none of that was true. It was heaven.

Amber's significant other and my hubby got along great and we are looking

forward to many long weekends together. She is about 8 hours north of me as

the crow flies; unless you are her significant other....as Matt flies, it is

5-6 hours.

We took pictures which we will be sending thru the web so watch for them.

Last year, together we weighed approx. 1,000 lbs; now approx.500lbs. How

terrific is that?

Guess what else? Amber wore shorts and looked great. I don't have that luck

yet, but I walked alot today and last nite with her and used my cane only.

She was a wealth of support and encouragement and she even has me convinced

to try a healthclub like the one she belongs to.

This from a woman that could not walk a foot without getting out of breath

last year. Now she is walking 1.5 miles, riding a bicycle 7 miles and will

soon be using weights.

As for me, I am at the rehab. pool 2x per wk and feel my legs getting

stronger each day; hence the cane...not the w/c or walker.

This was and will continue to be a good year.

Hugz
