Guest guest
Straight away Katy..............in about 6 weeks I lost 12 pounds...............people are freaking when they see me, asking what I've been doing........how do you begin to explain hypothyroidism and piggies to some-one, I usually say I have a medical condition(most people , except family, don't know I'm hypo, it just never comes up in conversation) that causes weight gain and I've just changed my meds and it's agreeing with me..I've been taking it for about 8-9 weeks now, and am up to 4 grains............I started at 3, after 12 years on thyroxine, I was up to 300 mcgs,.........split 1x 3 times daily, amazingly no adrenal symptoms, then to 3 & 1/2 then to 4. I will hold it there for a bit. I am playing with the timing of the dose, at the moment it's 2x2 times daily, sublingually.......was taking it about 6 hours apart but yesterday was out, forgot my dose and took it a little later and I think it worked better for me, so today the same, so at this stage am spacing the dose around 7-8 hours apart. I don't know if I'm at my optimal dose yet. I plan to hold this dose around 4 weeks. I'm also getting just a few heart palps when I go to bed at night, not too bad, they settle after a few minutes,so am looking at adrenal support, will probably order some Isocort next week. I really expected my adrenals to be fried and to be screaming from the get-go. The heart palps are the only adrenal symptoms I can say I have So 12 pounds in 6 weeks, after spending 9 years getting around 20 pounds off.... first 3 years I was hypo, I didn't even try......I am nearly back to the weight I was before I went hypo, .......it wasn't picked up for at least 5 years , my doctor tested me, I was " NORMAL " .....haha.....then I proceeded to gain weight, I put it all on in 18 months, then it was another 4 & 1/2 years before I was diagnosed Still a ways to go in the brain fog/energy stakes but am certainly getting better................Meleese in Oz xxx ----- Original Message ----- > Hi Meleese > > Can I ask when you began to lose the weight?
