Guest guest
>>>I am getting very dry skin on my face ( forehead and nose area ) not sure why. My daily diet consists of half a dozen raw eggs and butter for breakfast. Lunch is lamb chops ( ones with alot of fat on outside ) with lettuce/tomatoe and butter. Dinner is usually chicken or more lamb, potatoe, pumpkin more butter and other steamed vegatables. So i thought i was getting good amounts of the right fats. Can anyone help? ****Is the lamb and other meats grass-fed/forage-fed? My guess (and it's only a guess) would be an EFA deficiency or imbalance. My skin was best when I was taking flaxseed oil regularly, same goes for my dogs' coats. If your meats/eggs arent' grass-fed/forage-fed, why don't you try adding foods that are richer in EFAs (particulary n3s) such as fish (deep ocean), ground flaxseeds, hemp seeds, purslane and more leafy greens. There's always the dreaded fish oil capsules, but if you decide to take them, choose a brand carefully (Natural Factors is my favorite) due to peroxidation and contamination issues and be sure to get enough vit E to protect against oxidation. Alternatively, you could just rub coconut oil on your face, which will make it very soft. <g> Suze Fisher Web Design & Development http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze3shjg/ mailto:s.fisher22@... Guest guest
>> >>>I am getting very dry skin on my face ( forehead and nose area ) Is it possibly some sort of healing crisis? The skin is the largest eliminative organ in the body; maybe your good diet is encouraging a toxic dump out of your body. I don't know for sure, but I would assume you could have a skin reaction during a healing crisis. ~ Carma ~ To be perpetually talking sense runs out the mind, as perpetually ploughing and taking crops runs out the land. Guest guest
Yogabud, Without knowing much about the quality of your diet I would say you are probably going through a cleanse of some sort, particularly since the dry skin seems to be localized. Give it a few weeks and see what happens.
