<<<< I have read in some books that fruit should be eaten alone, 30

minutes before eating other food or 1 hour after. Is this true?

Sometimes I have as a snack apple slices with cheese. Other times I

have grapes, olives and walnuts. >>>>

I have done some of these " food combining " diets. If you are looking for

weight loss, it's pretty effective. As far as fruit goes, they may or may

not have a point. It supposedly causes digestion problems, because fruit

wants to go sailing through your digestive tract. Meat and complex carbs

want to hang out for a while. I don't have my NT handy at the moment, but I

think I remember Sally addressing this food combining issue. Problem with

these food combining diets is they keep foods separate that should actually

be put together for maximum nutrient benefit. I personally love any fruit

and cheese combo. One of my favorite recipes I've learned since moving south

is pineapple casserole. It has pineapple, cheddar cheese, etc.

I like garlic on my apple too. But maybe I am just a little weird.
