Both our CF docs and our ENT say that flonase does not help them once they are

there...but that flonase will prevent new ones, and prevent them from getting

bigger. To prevent them, too, you have to do some preventative measure. The CF

docs and the ENT at various times have said that you cannot get the polyps to go

away with, say, iv therapy, but that if half the opacification is infection and

half is polyps, you can take care of the infection half and by keeping the

infection down in the sinus and nose then you prevent new polyp growth. We did

find that 21 day iv tuneup bought JOshua exactly as much time as his sinus

surgery did (6 months) before his sinuses got awful again, so we have been going

that route lately (figuring, heck, its not bad for the lungs either)
