In " Food is Your Best Medicine " by Henry Bieler, there is the

following statement on page 213:

" Thomson of Edinburgh reports another test with twin calves, one

suckled and the other fed on pasteurized milk. The first was healthy

but the second died within sixty days. This experiment was repeated

many times. "

Perhaps someone can find a writeup of the work of Thomson. It

would have been pre-1965.
