Guest guest
As most of you know, I have been following this WOL for 15 months now. I always have to put my 2 cents worth in anytime someone asks about eating in a resteraunt... and this is why... Last week my daughter wanted to go to Fazolis. I took her and she got the fettucini alfredo. Since I was getting a bit hungry I asked about their meatballs, and was told there was only hamburger, italian sausage, riccotta cheese and italian seasonings. So I had 3. Several hours latter I woke up with the most horrible cramps I have had in my entire life. Barely made it to the bathroom, where I spent the better part of the week. I ended up taking 2 BOXES of imodium A D. It was terrible. I racked my brain trying to figure out who I had been around that gave me this virus, but after a few days it dawned on me that it couldn't be a virus, because no one else had it. I emailed Fazolis and asked for the ingredients in the meatballs. This is what I received: MEATBALLS - Beef and Pork, Water, Bread Crumbs (Bleached Wheat Flour, Salt, Yeast, Dextrose, partially Hydrogenated Soybean and /or Cottonseed Oil), Textured Vegetable protein Product [soy Flour, Carmel Color, Zinc Oxide, Niacinamide, Ferrous Sulfate, Copper Gluconate, Vitamin A Palmitate, Calcium Pantothenate, Thiamine Mononitrate (B1), Pyrodoxine Hydrochloride (B6), Riboflavin (B2), Cyanocobalamin (B12),] Romano Cheese from Cow’s milk [(Pasteurized part skim milk, cheese cultures, Enzymes), Salt, May contain Powdered Cellulose, Potassium Sorbate], Ricotta Cheese (Pasteurized Whey, Pasteurized Cream, Whey Protein Concentrate, Distilled Vinegar, Sorbic Acid), Romano Type Cheese Ingredient [Granular and Romano Cheese (Pasteurized Milk, Cheese Cultures, Salt, Enzymes), Whey, Salt], Salt, Parmesan Cheese {(Pasteurized Part Skim Milk, Cheese Cultures, Salt, Enzymes, Powdered Cellulose, Potassium Sorbate] Flavorings, Spices, parsley Flakes, Brown Sugar, Dried Egg Whites, Caramel Color. As you can see it is much more than what the manager told me, and has tons of stuff that isn't on my woe. So, again, I urge you to use caution when you go out to eat.... Especially when it comes to sauces. Most places use corn starch and what they call butter is not true butter, but a mixture of oil and butter flavoring and or margarine. This is true at (that I know for certain) Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Logan Roadhouse, Outback Steakhouse, Golden Corral and Black eyed Pea. Just a word of caution that I hope will save you from the agony I just experienced. ... And no, I didn't lose anything, as a matter of fact I gained back to 262... I was at 257 ===== Kathy __________________________________________________
