Guest guest
Trish The tests are done at Great Smokies Lab www.gsdl.com . The comprehensive digestive stool analysis CDSA tells you level of candida, other parasites, levels of friendly bacterai, pH and other useful markers. The lab provide an analysis together with an indication of how well candida/parasites might respond to various means of treatment. Treatment depends on what the test results show eg for candida you would use low yeast/sugar diet, probiotic (eg culturelle or Kirkmans proBio Gold) and antifungal (eg nystatin). For low levels of lactobacillus you would use a probiotic supplement. Based on our CDSA results we treated our sons yeast over a 3 month period and saw dramatic gains (as big as when we went GFCF). The benefit of the CDSA is that there are measurable markers you can work on. And then measure again to see if the markers have improved. Most of the time we have felt like we were stumbling in the dark on our sons treatment but we found this test to be very helpful.
