Subject: Fwd: Small Holders' Alliance Date: 4/23/2002 12:47:16 PM Hello, I just wanted to announce the launching of a new organization, The Small Holders' Alliance. SHA is a new initiative from the Northeast Organic Farming Association's Massachusetts chapter. Our goal at this point is to bring together those who wish to practice small scale dairying with those who would like to buy farmstead-produced dairy products, such as artisan cheeses, yogurt and raw milk. We will be gathering information to facilitate farmstead dairy production, making equipment and knowledge available to dairy operators, and supporting the right of the small holder to exist in this increasingly urban environment. SHA is open to all small scale dairy operators; those with a family cow, goats or sheep. Organic practices are not required, just an openness and enthusiasm for the work at hand. If you'd like more information, please visit the SHA webpage at www.hamesaxle.com/sha.htm or email SHA@.... Thank you, Garland SHA Coordinator
