Guest guest
Phyllis, Do you have any idea what other names the Zaditen may come under, it's not in my nursing drug book. I'm on a few asthma meds....Volmax, Azthmacort and I was on Singulair, but they switched me because they were worried that I was having a photosensitivity reaction. If you know what the other names of the drug Zaditen, please let me know. Thanks for your help, Ann phyllis.segal@... wrote: > --- > > Ann - in response to your hiving while on ZZ combo question....I was > on it (75 mg Atarax, and 600 mg Cimetidine= Z/Z in Canada) and while > it was helping somewhat I can't say that it was in control. > > My allergist/immunologist when I first met him said that the H2 > connection is very weak, and prescribing that combo is old time > behaviour. Guest guest
Ann , I've looked up Zaditen on the web, and it is the brand name for Ketotifen fumarate. Many of the articles are in foreign languages, but if you dig through you can find one in English. They talk about it's use for asthma as well as skin diseases. I've heard others talking about being on Ketitofen, so maybe there is a US brand name you can ask for. In Canada, it's made by Novartis.- good luck!
