Guest guest
This is from The Syndrome website http://www.hughes-syndrome.org/facts_about_hughes_syndrome.htm " 3. Multiple Sclerosis Another way in which the brain reacts to `sticky blood' is with odd features such as pins and needles, balance disorder and giddiness, visual disturbances (such as loss of part of the field of vision) and so on. One of the main alternative diagnoses in patients with the syndrome is multiple sclerosis, and it came as no surprise to our clinical team that a number of our patients had been previously diagnosed with " multiple sclerosis " . Here, with the discovery of one alternative diagnosis, is the chance that some patients might be treatable with medicines as tried and tested as aspirin and warfarin. " Also See http://www.neuroland.com/cvd/aps.htm where it gives: multiple sclerosis (29%) with Syndrome. I should comment, that Berg's and his hematologist appears to be the most sophicated and open in treating Syndrome... both with advocating going after the infection, and with more targeted treatment than the traditional " heparin, aspirin and warfarin " recipe. So... given the low hope of MS treatments, it is well worth it to have the ISAC panel .. and if positive, than go after Syndrome and its causes ... The http://www.neuroland.com/cvd/aps.htm has a very nice list of various illnesses and the percentage found with .. for example: * Juvenile chronic arthritis 55% * Lyme disease 39% * Mononucleosis 20%
