Guest guest
A bit off topic, but wanted to share some good news for a change. I had my 5 week post-op appointment today. I am FULLY CLEARED with NO RESTRICTIONS so if all goes well tomorrow with the school (crossing fingers) I should be able to return in March =) Anyway, I'm pretty thrilled to be " fit for duty " as a nursing student again. I know it will still be a bit of a challenge as I'm still tender and always tired (thanks fibromyalgia). But I am hopeful, excited, nervous & terrified all at once at the prospect of returning to school after sitting out for 4 months... yikes. Anyway, just thought I'd share the good news with my WTO family ;-) Now, just one more hurdle of a day tomorrow; appointments with the head of the nursing program & then readmissions. Yikes. Please send some good vibes if you have a few to share hehe. Mia
Guest guest
YAY! I'm so happy for you! It's always great to be fit for duty! I hope there won't be problems with readmission Woohoo! Guest guest
Ty Holly, me too! The biggest worry is the financial aspect since I owe money now due to sitting out. Normally they won't even let you back into school until you pay it off in full, but because it was medical, and because of how hard I've worked in school they are making an exception. But it will increase what I have been paying out of pocket every month... ouch. Not sure how much more I can afford. The only saving grace is I just paid off a medical bill I was paying 40 bucks a month at a time. So that's 40 more dollars that I could put towards school every month if needed, but it would be nice to try & save a little too. I'm tired of living down to the last penny every month. Then again, that's what school is supposed to remedy anyway. Ty again! Mia On Mon, Feb 14, 2011 at 2:34 PM, Holly Byers wrote: > YAY! I'm so happy for you! It's always great to be fit for duty!
