Guest guest
Recently my father died. My nada wants a relationship after years of rejecting me and my family. this has been driving me crazy of late, although I recently wrote her a letter that I am at peace with in terms of it being as good as it can be under the usual catch-22 situation that is created by a nada bpd mom. i have been suffering about this, but you know what? It is not that important compared to my little 9 year old daughter. she has some protein in her urine in addition to a bit of blood, and this has been progressing gradually. It may not be something serious, or it may be, a specialist will have to tell us. Now THAT is something important to put my energy into, making sure that the outcome of this is as good as it can be under the circumstances. the other stuff is not worth sinking my energy into. !!! Guest guest
Sending you positive thoughts and vibes. I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. I will be praying that it is nothing serious. It is amazing how our own daughters give us the strength to do the things we could not before. My daughter is my everything and I can remember a time when she was very sick and nothing else in the world mattered. She is healthy now, but it is because of her that I have the strength to have NC with nada. Even with a healthy child, the drama our nadas causes can be overwhelming. (((HUGS))) to you and your little girl. > > Recently my father died. Guest guest
Hi Carolyn, So sorry for what your daughter is going through. And I know how scary it is, the whole wait-and-see of medical issues. You are spot-on, though. Your daughter comes first and needs you most. I avoid telling my mother things like this (not that I am suggesting you do the same) b/c she usually starts off with " WHATT?????? is she ok?????? oh my God, you gave me a heart attack. what does the dr say? I bet you're not asking everything you should. blab blab blab.... " Best wishes to your little one. I have a friend whose daughter also had protein in her urine and it eventually did clear up. I think she had to change her diet a bit. Keep us in the loop! Fiona > > Recently my father died.
