Guest guest
Guys, I'm really struggling. I have tenderness in my right side ALL the time, plus approximately weekly attacks of stabbing pain for about 4 hours at a time. I think it's a new symptom of my fibro - having had a chest xray, cat scan, ultra sound and HIDA test on my gall bladder. I don't know what to do, Its very different from my normal symptoms - its much much harder to ignore and live with. I feel like I'm being murdered when the attacks hit. Any thoughts? I'm desparate for help? The docs don't know whats wrong with me so now I'm researching on my own. I had an attack yesterday that started about 2 pm and it was such hell I could just cry. . . sorry for being a mess. http://www.fibromyalgia-symptoms.org/fibromyalgia_chest_symptoms.html
Guest guest
GS, I have a friend who developed terrible pains in her side - she called it flank pain. After gazillions of tests a savvy doc finally diagnosed her with gluten allergy. She now avoids all foods with gluten and her symptoms have completely disappeared. Not celiac disease - just gluten allergy. I, my daughter and hubby have had costo - hub thought he was having a heart attack. It was triggered by a karate exercise. Hurts like heck. Guest guest
, did the costo ever get better? Ugh, a gluten allergy would be rough on me, I'm vegetarian so my diet is pretty wheat heavy. Maybe a good weight loss strategy ha ha Thank you > > > GS, > I have a friend who developed terrible pains in her side - she called it > flank pain. Guest guest
That sounds awful GS! ((((HUGS)))) I remember you wrote that you were going to have your gallbladder out - so the docs are sure this is not from that? I could throw out some random ideas, but I all I can think of is that it might help you to do pain management techniques so you don't " tighten " around the pain making it worse. I've had some rounds with intense pain from gastritis, made worse by stress of course, and relaxing into it along with tons ginger and chammomile was all that helped. I hope whatever is wrong gets better right away for you! > > Guys, I'm really struggling. Guest guest
I had this once. It was annoying--it hurt too much to take a deep breath for the X ray--but it wasn't *that* painful. Maybe it hurts more because of your other problems. I took antiinflammatories and eventually it went away. Hope you feel better soon! --. Guest guest
Yeah thought it was gall bladder but all the tests turned out negative. So now I'm guessing. . . but it sucks. Thanks. Ginger in tea or somewhere else? > > > I had this once. It was annoying--it hurt too much to take a deep breath > for the X ray--but it wasn't *that* painful. Guest guest
Yes, he took some anti-inflammatory meds and stopped reaching for the sun, lol. My daughter has it on and off, but she has hypermobile joint syndrome, which is just a scientific way of saying she is sort of a circus freak-human pretzel. :-) Heat helps - heating pad or hot water bottle. Guest guest
That's interesting about your daughter being uber flexible. I'm actually extremely flexible too - maybe not at a circus level - but def beyond average. Maybe that's why. > > > Yes, he took some anti-inflammatory meds and stopped reaching for the sun, > lol. > My daughter has it on and off, but she has hypermobile joint syndrome, > which is just a scientific way of saying she is sort of a circus freak-human > pretzel. :-) > Heat helps - heating pad or hot water bottle. > > > > Sent from my blueberry. > > On Mar 6, 2011, at 12:37 PM, Girlscout Cowboy > wrote: > > > , did the costo ever get better? > > > > Ugh, a gluten allergy would be rough on me, I'm vegetarian so my diet is > > pretty wheat heavy. Guest guest
Girlscout-- Sending good thoughts your way. Hope the pain subsides soon & the proper diagnosis comes soon. Also, I'm gluten free, and it isn't too hard--especially if you cook. It's getting easier every day, since more and more people are getting off the stuff. Blessings, Karla > > Guys, I'm really struggling. I have tenderness in my right side ALL the > time, plus approximately weekly attacks of stabbing pain for about 4 hours > at a time. Guest guest
GS, Then you will find it interesting to google hypermobile joint syndrome. It often goes hand in hand with fibro, as it does with DD, and is often misdiagnosed. It causes tons of weird pain issues. Just a couple weeks ago she was at the doctor and he pointed out that her wrist and elbow were dislocated. I am getting adept at popping things gently back in place - she dislocates the wrist when she lifts something too heavy but now we know why it starts hurting so bad. Sent from my blueberry.
