Guest guest
I can't remember who wrote it recently but I wanted to comment on this... you said that you are home with a newborn and your nada's coming to help amounted to her lying on the couch. What is that? My nada does that too! My sister has a newborn at home as well and nada shows up there to " help " and plop, there she is down on the couch. I don't have kids and she does it at my house as well. She pushes to " come help " . I keep telling her, with what? I don't need help. When she finally works her way into my house she flops down on the couch. And in the case of my nada, she sleeps. When she wakes up she either wants to look for a snack in my kitchen or she has to go in a rush because now that she slept it is late and she has to quickly go prepare dinner or something like that... Do others of you have nadas whose visits consist of lying on the couch? Just curious... Cuddle
Guest guest
No, but mine smokes....extremely often. She just sits or gambles and smokes. She also takes naps whenever possible but only for 15-60 minutes. BB
Guest guest
That may have been me. She did it with my first born, she came to " help " and laid on the couch the entire time, too weak and sore (from fibro) to do anything at all. I was effing pissed by the end and my husband wanted to throw her out on her ass. My MIL had been staying with us before my eldest was born and I was on bed rest. She actually HELPED me. She also helped the first few days I was home with her too, I LOVE my MIL. My mother is a self absorbed twit. > > I can't remember who wrote it recently but I wanted to comment on this... > you said that you are home with a newborn and your nada's coming to help > amounted to her lying on the couch. Guest guest
Forgive me for saying so, but I think your mother is more than a self-absorbed twit, she's guilty of criminal child abuse by taking your freaking inhaler away when you had freaking ASTHMA as a child, for God's sake! A person can DIE from a bad asthma attack! Holy freaking cow, I wish you could have been rescued from that! Its not negligence like the ingrown toenail, which is bad enough, she was actively trying to harm you physically! I can't get over that, taking an asthmatic child's inhaler away from her. Good Lord. That's the same as taking the child by the throat and choking her nearly to death. Its criminal! Acckkk!!! Makes me have truly violent thoughts, it does. -Annie > > > > I can't remember who wrote it recently but I wanted to comment on this... > > you said that you are home with a newborn and your nada's coming to help > > amounted to her lying on the couch. Guest guest
Regarding the couch - YESSSSS - if nada managed to drag her ass out of bed (she spent most of her time laying in bed reading a book and eating cookies or chips) she would then move over to the couch. She would then lay on the couch and eat cookies or chips (or both) and read a book. SLAP SLAP SLAP, that's Doug's bitch slap for ya. I bet your nada went on to call all her friends and tell them how tired she was from helping her daughter. Yeah right. Girlscout, That is so funny, I laughed so loud! It's funny because it is so true and I just never thought about it! I have heard her whining and complaining so many times about how my sister would like to have help with her kids some times and why couldn't she just do it like my nada who of course managed ever single thing to do with raising her kids with out an ounce of help from anyone (She is quit a mighty martyr as well!) And I can just imagine her spiel about me, since I don't have kids.. my goodness, no kids and she STILL needs help from me... snore, snore, time to go home. Lol! That is so funny.
