Yes, sorry, it's off topic but this is the cutest & funnies thing I have

seen in a while and thought you all could use a good smile!

Emerson - Mommy's nose is scary!

The expressions on this baby's face are PRICELESS!

Smile - you all deserve to! =)

That is not only adorable, I think its a great example of a baby who displays a

nice, healthy middle-range of some of the inborn temperament traits, and a baby

who has a healthy, trusting bond with his mother:

* Activity: Is the child always moving and doing something OR does he or she

have a more relaxed style?

(Not enough information to determine in this short video)

* Rhythmicity: Is the child regular in his or her eating and sleeping habits OR

somewhat haphazard?

(Not enough information to determine in this short video)

* Approach/withdrawal: Does he or she " never meet a stranger " OR tend to shy

away from new people or things?

(Baby Emerson seems fascinated by this new thing: these odd, loud noises coming

from his mother)

* Adaptability: Can the child adjust to changes in routines or plans easily or

does he or she resist transitions?

(Emerson seems able to adapt to this " change in routine " and is not unduly

distressed by it)

* Intensity: Does he or she react strongly to situations, either positive or

negative, OR does he or she react calmly and quietly?

(Emerson is reacting strongly: initially with intense surprise and even fear,

then with delighted giggles)

* Mood: Does the child often express a negative outlook OR is he or she

generally a positive person? Does his or her mood shift frequently OR is he or

she usually even-tempered?

(Emerson gives the appearance of being even-tempered and positive, even when

startled by mommy making unfamiliar, loud, bizarre noises)

* Persistence and attention span: Does the child give up as soon as a problem

arises with a task OR does he or she keep on trying? Can he or she stick with an

activity a long time OR does his or her mind tend to wander?

(This activity doesn't really require persistence on Emerson's part)

* Distractibility: Is the child easily distracted from what he or she is doing

OR can he or she shut out external distractions and stay with the current

activity?

(Although this is a rather short film clip, Emerson appears to remain clearly

focused on the activity for the duration of the clip.)

* Sensory threshold: Is he or she bothered by external stimuli such as loud

noises, bright lights, or food textures OR does he or she tend to ignore them?

(Although Emerson is repeatedly startled and surprised by the unusual and

somewhat loud noises his mother is making, he recovers very quickly and laughs.)

Thanks for sharing the link!

I'm glad you guys enjoyed it! I had to watch it like 3 times because I

couldn't get enough lol.

Annie, I love what you've posted here about it too! Seems like a happy,

healthy kiddo to me! His expressions, oh man! they are just so great =)
