Guest guest
Yep, I was NC with my sociopath brother as soon as I could get out of the house. I saw him occasionally when it couldn't be avoided, but mostly steered clear. Nada paid his bills, cosigned on mortgages and car loans that he defaulted on, let him and his alcoholic skank girlfriend move in when he got her pregnant - and at one point she was calling me to help pay her bills, then using money I'd sent her to pay HIS bills for him. That was truly the beginning of my realization that there was something wrong, permanently, unfixably wrong, with my FOO. It was also the beginning of my total disengagement from them both. I stayed firmly NC with my brother for well over 10 or 15 years. So he died in a car wreck (not wearing a seatbelt, everyone else in the car walked away without a scratch, go figure), and Nada begged me to go to the funeral. I have to admit, I wasn't very gracious. I was sitting there while people eulogized him, thinking WTF? He was a a thief, a bully, a boor, a deadbeat father, a waste of oxygen. (Um, no, I don't miss him.) > > Anyone Anyone Anyone > But me? 8 years now. . . he still scares me. Guest guest
Yes, I am almost to two years with my psycho BP brother. As opposed to my nada my brother is scary to me. He was the one who made threats, he is the one who wanted to take me to a party in a graveyard, he is the one who when I woke up one morning he was lying at the bottom of the bed faced down with his arms wrapped around mine and my sisters legs, he is the one who threatened to kill and sadly, he is the one nada protects... go figure. Cuz I can't figure it out... I guess BP's of a feather flock together... and another shiver! Guest guest
OMG this is an issue I know I need to tackle but I don't know how or where to start. My brother was cruel to me my entire childhood. He used to drown my favorite bug and make me watch. Did the same with a rat or mouse he caught. I was horrified. He still contacts me even now. I haven't spoken to him or responded to his attempts to contact me in 8 years. His new wife stalked me. I believe he won't be happy until I " m dead. I don't have proof of that. I think maybe he has grown up a lot. But there is something evil about him. Could there just be something evil about the golden son of a BPD mother? Were your brothers first born? Guest guest
Animal abuse in childhood or teen years can be an indicator of some really unpleasant stuff. Guest guest
" The Macdonald Triad " is a set of three behavioral characteristics that are associated with sociopathic (aka psychopathic) behavior when they occur together in an older child or teen. The triad was first identified by J.M. Macdonald in " The Threat to Kill " , a 1963 paper in the American Journal of Psychiatry. The three behaviors are: animal torture, starting fires, and bed-wetting. These have been called " the trifecta of psychopathy. " Its just chilling to think that a parent would not get help for their child who exhibits these and other negative, dangerous, violence-prone symptoms. AND by ignoring these alarming, abnormal behaviors in their " golden child " put their other children at risk of injury or even death as a result. Its very chilling indeed. -Annie > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Anyone Anyone Anyone > > > > But me? 8 years now. . . he still scares me. I am terrified of him, and got out of his life 3 years ago, but I am still scared to answer my door, or run into him on the street. You are NOT alone in this! and yes...he's firstborn and apple of nadas eye!
