Guest guest
Absolutely! Mine tends to hit in bed as well, usually when I've either been started by something scary, like my phone ringing, or when I'm trying to pull myself out of my nada's most recent attack and am trying to relax. Pure anxiety. Sometimes it hits during flashbacks too!
Guest guest
I have had panic attacks since I was a small child. Nada would then flip oiy and tell me I just wanted attention-so I learned to hide and get away from people whenever it hit. When I left home, they started going away. Then they only hit when I knew nada would call, or if I even saw her name on email or messaging... I still struggle with thoughts that trigger them-related to nc issues and behaviors and ways of thinking I have learned over the years. Jaie, Your post really helped. Telling myself those are lying thoughts, looking for truth and the silver lining are practical things I can do-today, even! Thank you. It helps reading others are going through this too.
