Nada is laid to rest. The memorial service is behind me also. It went very

well all things considered.

I will never have to go through that again thank God though. It is emotionally

draining and I need to start looking at buying my house and getting my life on

track. Now it's time for ME.

I thank nada for leaving all her $ with me as beneficiary and " paid on death " .

It is a blessing. To nada giving $ was love, but now I am extremely blessed to

have it of course. In this uncertain world it is an anchor in a sea of

uncertainty.

I didn't cry very much at her memorial service (though one neighbor got up

there and balled like a baby during his eulogy). You would have thought HE was

her son and not me her daughter. I teared up giving MY eulogy and even my

minister got choked up which was amazing. I never saw her like that.

There are still minor things to do but not at all as bad as the rest of this was

I am hoping against hope.

Life will settle down in a week or less now I would imagine which is good.

All things considered I did a good job and only a few major things need to be

settled and I will be home free.

Thanks to all who read my blogs here and offer their support.

I am so glad for you that you can now turn your thoughts to your future, which

is now more secure. At least your nada didn't try to hurt you one last time:

she left you her money instead of giving it away or something. That is a

blessing.

My best wishes to you for your future, may it be full of healing and peace.

Hugs to you and everyone here. I have dreaded that day my whole life, and as my

mom has always threatened that when she goes, it will be my fault.......

I just want to give you the biggest hug, because what you have just gone thru

must have been so hard, and twisting to your gut...the natural tendency is to

love, to want love from your mother. But we all know that this is a fantasy for

most of us. And when they leave for good, it leaves a weird feeling of

like...what just happened...how could it have really been this way.

I only hope that living with our moms is the worst part, and that the aftermath

will be the easier of the two. I only hope.

With other people, it's the other way around.

Annie, the way you describe things is so dead-on accurate.

Marilyn, what gave me a happy smile was when I read that you said you did a good

job! I'm glad you can articulate that (some wouldn't be able to), and feel good

that you did right by your nada, regardless of what pain she caused you in your

life. And yes, it's now time for you. Take good care. Annie 2

Marilyn,

I am glad your long journey with your Nada has come to a close. I hope she finds

the peace that eluded her in this life.

Now it's time for you to do what YOU want for a change. ((((hugs))))

Any average person would think we're terrible celebrating the loss of your nada.

But I doubt that many of us want the BPD's to suffer; we just want to be free of

their control. And now you are free to be you, to make your own choices without

fear. Celebrate your own life and let go of the past.
