Guest guest
New to this site but not new to dealing with bpds. I have been in theropy for 6 years now and I am dong well. I have cut the toxic ones out and grieved them all. I just realized in the past month that I never grieved a good relationship I had with a boyfriend from 10 years ago. I ran from him because I felt scared of something good and my nada went to all ends of the earth to break us up. She is dead now. Do not miss her at all. I wish her peace in the next life but do not miss her. My life is so much better without all them. So I am grieving that old relationship and the what ifs now. Funny, thought I was through all that stuff. I am getting ready to start dating again after years of being by myself because I was so drained from all the toxic people that I needed time to heal and recharge. It is scarey. I hide for the past 6 years to heal. I still have things come up from time to time. Not to good at letting the guard down because I always got my feelings squashed like a bug. Any advice on letting the guard down abit?

Guest guest
I think we all had to learn how to put up the guard with the bpds we had/have in our lives. It amazes me to how many people have bpds in their lives. I accidently went to the wrong support group and ended up on the site for people romantically involved with the bpd/npds and that has to be hell. I seen my bpd mom destroy my father. I still post there because I found some really nice people there and I feel bad for some of them who refuse to believe that their partners are not capable of loving them back. I wish they were capale of loving us but bpds have no sense of self and can't give us what they do not have in them. Coming from such hell and chaos I could not image being involved with one. We already have been beat up so mouch mentally and emotionally and some physically from the borderlines that I run the other way at the first sign of " crazies " . > > > > > > > New to this site but not new to dealing with bpds.
