Guest guest
Nada s seem to have Truth Deficit Disorder. How do we ever know? They over react to little things, and become convinced they , or we, have allergies. They will tell us the most outlandish things that thier Dr s or T s supposedly said to them, but will never , ever, let the Dr or T talk to us directly and compare notes. They spin the most outrageous lies imaginable, and expect us to blandly accept it. If we challenge them because it is unbelievable, they respond with BP like rages, or victim play, hurt that we don t trust them implicitly, despite thier history of lying. Everthing we ARE able to verify tells us that they are liars. So when it comes to their health, our health, relationships, family history, how do we know? How can we ever know what is true if any part of it is dependant on what they told us. A dilemna for us KOs. How can we ever know the truth? Guest guest
The family health history is an issue that comes up at every doctor appointment. NC 8 years - thats 8 years of no idea what new diagnosis come up. And then the stuff I know from the past - what should I believe? None of it? A little of it? I'm skeptical about all of it! > > > > Nada s seem to have Truth Deficit Disorder. How do we ever know? They > over react to little things, and become convinced they , or we, have > allergies. Guest guest
Hi This is something I have been thinking of. My T has got me doing some inner child work and I have only just started so I am looking at my infant stage. Since I can't remember much from below age 12 or so I wonder how I will do it. I am curious about what was going on all those years. I know there is no point asking nada, or even my dad as he is too wrapped up in her. And also I would love to know my family history. Who they were, where they lived, what they did etc. These are the people who came before me. I think it is part curiosity (does PD or addiction run in the family) but also a longing to be connected, that I come from more than my dysfunctional FOO. And on a related note (or not); I feel envy when people talk about interests that their mum or dad were into and how that was passed onto them e.g. Music, art appreciation, stitching, crafts, sports, whatever. Growing up, nada was the only interest encouraged. I know one of the main things I have to do is start a hobby or some sort of outside interest. But I really don't have clue. I've tried a couple of things here and there but never got past initial stage and soon loss interest or listened to that voice saying `you can't'.
